This week Year 13 Chemists enjoyed an analysis workshop run by former pupil Sam Trouton, who is now a teaching fellow at Warwick University.
Students competed in teams to make profit for their imaginary company that had been tasked with identifying unknown compounds seized at an airport.
This was a great opportunity for the students to practise using techniques they have recently learnt about and to gain confidence in their problem-solving abilities. Well-done to the team who made a net profit of over £6,000 in the game!
Thanks so much to Mrs Dawes and Sam for organising this.
