Architecture Visit
On Tuesday 2nd July, 6 enthusiastic students attended "The Paddocks" building site with the architect Len Vidler. The students were shown two of the four new houses under construction just outside the school grounds. It was a very interesting day with Len showing pictures of his previous builds and designs, including a 5-star hotel, and how he creates his building plans. Len explained how nowadays building plans are all created on computer software, whereas he still produces his plans with pen and paper, like he did when he was at university in the 1970s. Speaking to Len gave the students an insight into careers in architecture for the future.
